Ok I see... well let me explain!

The strings pass over an adjustable saddle which screws into the bridge. To lower or raise this saddle, you 'screw' it up or down. Th eproblem was that when the saddle was screwed RIGHT DOWN as far as it would go, the G string was still a little high (im talking millimetres here). I removed the saddle and that has given me the extra clearance I need. Tomorrow I will file the groove of the saddle down a little and replace it.

The Kahler bridge is quite 'tall' so this adjustment was neccesary!

Hope that clears it up. This bass sounds incredible - lots of tones avaliable. Do you like my new avatar??

I wish I tried one, but I don't know where I could find a Vigier... no store seem to sell this brand in my city.
