Warwick Taranis 4

Taranis has wider grooves in nut to accomodate thicker strings. You can easily file or replace Corvette STD nut. Pickups would also make a difference. Large pole pickups (like Taranis has) tend to emphasize attack.

The Taranis is (supposedly) made for metal music, so not sure that Dub Reggae would fit with that. It's also a passive bass, so your tonal options will be much more limited than with an active corvette standard.

If I'm not mistaken, i think the massive difference in price is mainly down to the sandblasting effect on the wood of the taranis, not sure how much it helps tonally but it does look damn cool!!
And no, there's no difference between the neck or fretboard, just the size of the nut as mentioned above.
