Copied from our Facebook page:

As many of you know, we are hard at work on the new version of the Crossover Distortion. We've shrunk the chassis to 5 5/8" by 4 5/8", which is about an inch each way. The chassis will also be flat topped, instead of with the break angle. Otherwise, the look of the pedal will be the same.

The "new feature" will be an internal trim pot (accessible via battery door) to adjust the master volume of the boost channel. Currently, the additional Gain knob tied to the Boost channel increases gain and volume, like a true solo boost. The new internal trim pot enables attenuation of the volume of the boost channel to match the output of the first channel, no matter how much gain is added with the Boost channel. This makes the Crossover Distortion a true two-channel pedal.

Although it's a small feature, we are quite excited about the increased versatility in application of the XD-2. Now you can pair a very mild overdrive on the main channel with a highly gain setting on the Boost channel and maintain the same volume. I have no idea how our brilliant designer Lou managed to cram in an extra doohickey AND make the entire thing smaller, but he used to work for NASA, so he's a smart guy, what can we say.
