Un groupe que je connais de réputation et que je suis en train de découvrir.

Y a un DVD, CD très très interessant.

Two CD plus DVD set recorded live at the historic Deepest End Concert in New Orleans, LA on May 3rd, 2003. DVD includes 15 minutes of behind the scenes footage plus a photo gallery.

Starring Gov't Mule (Warren Haynes, Matt Abts, and Danny Louis). Featuring appearances by bass players Les Claypool, Mike Gordon, Jason Newsted, Victor Wooten, George Porter, Jr, Dave Schools, Greg Rzab, Rob Wasserman, and more. Also featuring appearances by the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Fred Wesley, Karl Denson, Bernie Worrell, Bela Fleck, and many others.

Volume 2 features guitarist Warren Haynes and drummer Matt Abts with 12 more of the world's greatest bass players, including Les Claypool (Primus), Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead), Rocco Prestia, Alphonso Johnson, Jack Casady, Chris Squire, Dave Schools (Widespread Panic), Tony Levin, Billy Cox, George Porter Jr (The Meters), and Me'Shell Ndegeocello. Volume 2 also includes appearances by Rob Baracco, David Grisman, Johnny Neel, Peter Sears, Chuck Leavell, Danny Louis, Gary Lucas, Bernie Worrell, Art Neville, and John Medeski.

The Deep End Volume 2 includes Hidden Treasure Volume 2, a bonus CD with "Drivin' Rain'" featuring James Hetfield on vocals and Les Claypool on bass, two previously unreleased live tracks, two DJ Logic Mule remixes, and "Weekend with Warren" a short documentary on the hardest working man in rock 'n roll.

Ouaip, bien sympatoche le concert. Je trouve que le gratteux assure vraiment. Je crois que c'est Bassté qui avait parlé de ce groupe y a pas très longtemps.

Que du beau monde sur scène. Et puis un Les Claypool sur Rick (si je me souviens bien) c'est pas si commun :)

ca fait longtemps qu'on vait pas vu un vrai groupe "sudiste" renaitre des cendres de ces grands ancetres des seventies, et qui a su integrer la modernité de la zic d'aujour'dhui

de grands compositeurs, et des musiciens emerites

ca fait un moment que je les suis

vais aller me mater ce dvd au plus vite

alors là je plussoie. J'ai eu "the deepest end" entre les mains: c'est vraiment excellent. Avec une tripotée de zicos et de bassistes qui viennent croiser le fer avec les grattes flamboyantes de Warren hayes (dont jason newsted d'ailleurs)

bref, un très bon moment B)
